Inviting someone to upload into your project

Yes. You can give someone permission to upload photos and videos straight into one of your projects, and everything they add lands in the same place as your own work.

Every file a guest uploads is double-checked the moment it arrives, exactly like a file you upload yourself. You will see it move from Checking… to Checked ✓ so you know it actually opens and isn't corrupt. Nothing about the file's safety changes because someone else added it.

The simplest way to let someone add files is to invite them to the project by email and give them edit access. Here's how:

• Open the project you want them to upload into.
• Open the Share dialog for that project.
• Type their email into the Add people by email field at the top and press Enter.
• Choose Can edit as their access level — the editor role, the right fit for a second shooter or a colleague who needs to add, rename, move, and re-share files (but not delete).
• Add an optional message and press Send.

They get an email, and once they're in they can upload into that project alongside you. Can view is the other option — use that for someone who should only look, not add.

When a guest opens their upload link, they land on a clean page titled with your project's name. There's nothing to learn and no account to create:

• They drag files or whole folders onto the page, or use Choose files / Choose folder.
• Dropped folders keep their structure — the layout is recreated inside your project automatically.
• Each file shows its own progress, then settles into the safe, double-checked state.

If they have a lot to move, the page can hand off to the desktop app so they can drag-and-drop a big batch and let it run. They do not need a Vault account for any of this — their uploads flow through the same hardened pipeline yours do.

• Everything a guest adds is yours — it lives in your project and counts toward your storage, the same as your own uploads.
• You can tell at a glance which files came from a guest: in the project's file browser, filter by Guest upload link to see only those, or Direct upload for your own.
• Access is never permanent. Remove a collaborator in the Share dialog and they lose the ability to add anything more.
