Updating your payment method

Step-by-step guide to changing the card on file for your Total Vault plan, plus where to find and download your invoices.

01Where your card lives

Your card on file is managed from one place: Settings → Billing. That screen shows your current plan, the card we charge each month, your projected cost, and your past invoices.

The card and the Update button appear once you're on a paid plan. On the Free plan there's no card to manage yet — you'll add one the first time you upgrade.

Your full card number never touches Total Vault's servers. The card form is handled securely by Stripe — we only ever see the card brand and the last four digits, so we can show you which card is on file.

02Change the card on file

  • Open Settings → Billing.
  • Under Payment, you'll see your current card — for example Visa •••• 4242 · exp 8/27. Select Update next to it.
  • A secure payment window opens. Enter your new card details, or pick Apple Pay or Link if they're offered to you.
  • Select Save & continue. The window closes and your Payment line updates to show the new card.

That's it — your next monthly charge will go to the new card. Your plan, usage, and everything you've uploaded stay exactly as they were.

If your bank asks you to confirm the new card with an extra step, that happens right inside the window — so the next monthly charge goes through cleanly.

03Your invoices

The same Billing screen lists your past invoices, with the date, total, and status for each one. Select View on any invoice to open its PDF in a new tab, where you can download or print it for your records.

If a charge ever fails or a card expires, update the card using the steps above and we'll retry on the new one. If something still looks off, the pricing page covers how billing works, or reach us any time at support@totalvault.ai or through the contact page.
